Our Beliefs

AI and other technologies will level the playing field for hard skills (e.g., engineering, finance, operations) while exaggerating the importance of soft skills.

Being chronically online used to be seen as a weakness, but will be viewed as literacy, currency, and relevancy.

Just because someone is a manager, it should not be assumed that they are effective communicators or leaders.

World-class leadership development will become a better predictor of business success than world-class engineering.

If you can learn how to manage the egos and interests of others, you can achieve anything.

Any consulting, training, or coaching that you pay for should be valuable, consequential, and unforgettable.

Our Methodology

Discover

First, we learn about the leadership skills needed for your unique context. We do this during a brief discovery phase to confirm our understanding of where you are and what success looks like to you.

Solve

Next, we drive change through interactive workshops, group and 1:1 leadership coaching, and strategic consulting. We measure the impact of our engagements so you can clearly demonstrate value and ROI to your stakeholders.

Sustain

Finally, we help you plan for the future by recommending next steps that sustain your leaders’ progress. This may include additional coaching, process changes, or communication strategies for you to consider.

Our Founder

Elliott Davis, Founder and CEO of Mid Dive, believes in a world where every company recognizes that their competitive advantage is in their people. Having the newest technologies will not differentiate your business--the leaders who build the strategies and manage the people who deploy these technologies are the true differentiators. His goal with Mid Dive is simple: to empower leaders with the tools, strategies, and confidence to navigate, influence, and inspire the people around them.

Elliott has devoted over 15 years of his career to developing leaders who move their organizations into the future. He was fortunate to begin his career in a consulting leadership development program where he learned the value of intentionally introducing and reinforcing new skills. Since then, Elliott has made it his mission to help leaders find joy and purpose through the expansion of their expertise. As a convenient side effect, his work with leaders provides immense value to their organizations as well. Through his in-house and consulting work, he has contributed to higher employee engagement, increased team productivity, lower turnover, and decreased conflict between groups. Elliott has also shown evidence that his leadership development work translates to increased innovation and revenue.

Elliott is a global leader who has led Fortune 100 teams on five continents. He blends well, learning the culture of countries as well as companies quickly. Elliott has personally coached or advised business leaders born in each of the four generations present in most organizations. His approachable yet assertive style allows him to build rapport and credibility quickly, no matter the client’s role, function, or background.

Elliott has a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an MA in Christian Ministry from Mercer University. He serves his local Chamber of Commerce, National Black MBA Association chapter, and church ministry.
